Jasper High School

If someone in your child’s household tests positive, this is considered “continuous exposure”, please keep your child at home and report it to your child’s school. Your child will need to quarantine for 10 days from the family member’s test date and will need to be symptom free during the 10 days before returning to school. Continue to monitor for symptoms up to 14 days.

Please remember to screen your child for COVID symptoms before your child gets on the school bus or arrives at school. If your child has symptoms or is sick, do not send them to school and we encourage you to check with your child’s physician for further guidance.

If your child has been tested for COVID, please keep your child at home until you have results and report it to your child’s school.

If your child's test is positive for COVID, please keep your child at home and report it to your child’s school. Your child may return to campus once he/she meets all of the criteria below:

  •  After symptoms have improved,
  •  At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared AND
  •  At least 24 hours have passed since recovery (resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medication)

Encourage your child to wash their hands frequently and to practice respiratory etiquette (covering coughs and sneezes). Hand sanitizer is available in all classrooms, however, you may send a bottle from home for age-appropriate students.

Masks are strongly encouraged. By wearing a mask, you will protect yourself and others. Jasper ISD is not requiring masks, but we do strongly encourage them to be worn by students and staff.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff safe. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s campus.
