The Bulldog Bulletin is sent each week to help keep you in-the-know about JISD activities, events, and information. Please do not hesitate to send questions about anything JISD-related as your questions help us best meet the communication needs of Bulldog Nation.

Grandparents (and others who love and show up for our kids) are a really, really, really GOOD THING!

Maybe they love you like a parent but know that a little cookie before dinner won’t hurt anything. 

Maybe they slip a little cash to you as a reward for hitting a homerun, getting good grades, scoring a touchdown, or just because you are a most excellent grandchild.

Maybe they tell you stories from their childhood that you really don’t believe, but you humor them anyway because you love to spend time with them and hear them talk. (Spoiler alert: someday you will tell your grandkids about growing up in 2025, and they won’t believe you either.)

Maybe they have taken on the role of parent and provided you with a home and security in addition to the love they have for you as their grandchild.

Grandmas, Grandpas, and those who choose to fill that role….we appreciate you and 

wish you a Happy Grandparent’s Day!
