Summer Fun Edition
Summeris a time for students and families to spend time together engaging in many of the fun activities for which there is not time during the school year. Each week, the newsletter will focus on a different aspect of summertime---summer safety, crafts, holidays, places to visit---and many other summertime topics!

Summer Fun Topic of the Week

The start of a new school year brings all of the feelings.

Students may be happy to see friends….nervous about having a new teacher….sad that the freedom of summer is ending….sleepy because getting up early is hard….anxious for new adventures in learning….excited for the beginning of athletic seasons.

Parents and caregivers may be excited for the year to begin and for kids to be back in school, while also being sad that another year of childhood has passed.

Everyone may be overwhelmed thinking about all of the to-dos to get done.

Fortunately, there are many online resources available to help ease the transition. Articles are available that give tips on getting students back into a sleep routine, getting the best value for your back-to-school bucks, helping students overcome anxiety, establishing night-before-the-first-day traditions, and so much more. A few of these resources are:
