Good Things and Bulldog Brags

Bulldog with megaphone saying Good Things
Hard work is a really GOOD THING! Bragging rights are not so bad themselves.

It is always a privilege to share good news about the Jasper High School Band. Thanks to their hard work and the support of the community, the JHS Band defeated Beaumont United High School and was named the September 19 KBMT 12 News 409 Sports Blitz Band of the Week

Congratulations Mr. Hopkins and all band members! We appreciate you representing JISD so well!

Superintendent John Seybold and the Jasper ISD Board of Trustees are proud to recognize the following:

  • In Jasper ISD, students are growing — and it all starts at Few Primary! We are excited to celebrate the success shown in our beginning-of-year (BOY) assessment results. Students have not only transitioned smoothly, but also maintained the learning gained over the summer. This year’s current 3rd graders left Few Primary with 45% of students on or above grade level on their end-of-year (EOY) assessment as 2nd graders. On this year’s BOY assessment, those same students scored 47% on or above grade level. To put this in perspective, last year’s 3rd graders entered Parnell Elementary with only 38% on or above grade level. The continued growth highlights the strong foundation being built at Few Primary and the success of our students as they move forward in their learning journey.
  • The JHS/DuGood Bulldogs Care Award recipient is David Galloway. David exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding student, both academically and personally. He stops by his former teacher’s classroom and just shakes their hand. He consistently demonstrates his strong work ethic and dedication to his studies. His teachers describe him as studious, engaged, and always eager to participate in class discussions. He not only contributes thoughtful insights but also volunteers information that enhances the learning environment for everyone. Beyond academics, David’s character sets him apart. He is respectful, friendly, and easy-going, making him well-liked by both his peers and his teachers. His outgoing personality and great sense of humor bring joy to those around him, as he has a natural gift for making others feel comfortable and included. David balances his academic responsibilities with his vibrant personality, proving that hard work and kindness go hand in hand. His positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to communicate effectively make him a role model for his classmates.
  • 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball both came in 1st place at the Newton Tournament over the weekend
