Jasper High School Celebrates the Class of 2026 on Decision Day with Record-Breaking Achievements

Jasper High School proudly honored its senior class during Decision Day 2026, a celebration marking not only graduation on the horizon, but the bright and diverse futures awaiting the Class of 2026.

The event recognized each senior’s post-graduation plans—ranging from college and trade schools to immediate entry into the workforce and military service. The ceremony served as a powerful reflection of the class’s commitment to excellence and readiness for life beyond high school.

During the program, students were awarded honor cords and medals representing their academic and career accomplishments. Recognition was given to seniors who achieved key College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) benchmarks, underscoring Jasper High School’s continued focus on preparing students for success in a rapidly evolving world.

Among the highlights, students earning Industry-Based Certifications were celebrated for their technical expertise and workforce readiness. In total, the Class of 2026 earned an impressive 220 certifications, demonstrating both skill and determination across a wide range of career pathways.

The Class of 2026 also achieved remarkable milestones in postsecondary preparation:
• 56 students met the College Ready standard, showcasing strong academic preparedness for higher education
• 88 FAFSA applications completed, reflecting meaningful engagement in financial planning for college
• Over $1.70 million in scholarships and grants earned, opening doors to expanded opportunities
Looking ahead, these graduates are set to attend 29 different colleges, universities, and trade schools, pursuing 51 unique career paths—a testament to the diversity of talent and ambition within this class.

A particularly proud moment came as four seniors were recognized for their commitment to serve the nation. These “Brave Bulldogs” will enter military service with the U.S. Air Force, Marines, and Texas Army National Guard, exemplifying leadership, courage, and selflessness.

As Decision Day concluded, one message rang clear: the Jasper High School Class of 2026 has not only met expectations—they have exceeded them. With academic achievement, career readiness, and a spirit of service, this group of graduates is poised to make a lasting impact.
The Class of 2026 has proven beyond a doubt—they are College, Career, and Military Ready.
CTE Highlights:
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a valued industry partner that helps our students earn NCCER Core Industry-Based Certifications. Earlier this year, ABC invited our construction and welding programs to participate in the Sparks and Steel Soirée. Mr. Hadnot’s students built a deer blind, and Mr. Simmons’ students built a welding table for the auction.

We are proud to share that the student projects earned $1,377.50 for their student activity accounts. JHS CTE is stronger through partnerships with industry leaders, and we are proud of Mr. Hadnot and Mr. Simmons for challenging students to grow in both their skills and industry credentials.
